Today I went to the station and went over my first news broadcast assignment 5  and then recorded assignment 6 at the station.  John was there to listen in and give me some constructive critism about my recording.  He told me I need work on my breathing, make sure I am allowing 6-8 inches of space from the microphone and my mouth, and that should add pauses when speaking so that it doesn't sound run on and more dramatic. He also did a test on acoustics in the station and dynamic balacing in my voice and he said I was spot on with where I should be.  I am glad about that. Other than that he has been really impressed with my work and told me to keep up the great work.  I did a few different takes on the recording because of me saying words that weren't on the script which can happen sometimes but I have corrected that and Shawn sent me my finalized recording to keep in my files.  I had alot of fun recording in the station and look forward to doing it again soon.
