Session #2 Recap: 3/4 Posted on 2014-03-07 by Callan McClurg

It was another GREAT night on The Steve Dolan Show this past Tuesday night on Mountain Country 107.9FM, as Steve let me co-host the entire show with him. David Marver from @ChangethePadres on Twitter dropped by to talk about the spring training troubles already impacting the 2014 season for the San Diego Padres with their Center Fielder Cameron Maybin, who went down an injured shoulder and is expected to miss 2-3 months. David also chatted about the reasons behind his "Change The Padres" campaign online and the reasons why he has stopped going to the games.

Zach Stone, the head statistician for the University of San Diego Men's Basketball team dropped by from the USD/San Diego State Baseball game to wrap up the regular season for the Toreros men's Basketball team and preview their opening West Coast Conference tournament against the University of San Francisco in Las Vegas on Thursday night. Zach also discussed the turnarounds of the USD & SDSU Baseball programs with revived rosters and a new mindset for their 2014 season.

Our on the move reporter Rick Hill wrapped up our guest block with some Prep sports coverage involving the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Boys & Girls Basketball seasons that wrap up at the Jenny Craig Pavilion beginning on Friday. Rick also chatted about the Padres and their health issues in Spring Training, along with the Chargers who made a few roster moves on Tuesday in releasing three players, while in the process resigning two key players as well.

We wrapped up the show with a scoreboard update from MLB Spring Training, NBA & NHL. Steve and I then wrapped up the show with a conversation about the Padres and the expectations they face in the 2014 season, along with the roster moves of the Chargers, plus talking about the USD/SDSU basketball and their upcoming basketball matchups before March Madness officially begins.
