The Steve Dolan Show was knocked out of the park yet again, as we returned to the air following an off week. Bernie Wilson of the Associated Press kicked off our show to talk about another slow start to the season for the hometown San Diego Padres, who were defeated in Cleveland 8-6 on Tuesday night. Bernie also chimed in about what needs need to be fulfilled in the NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers.
Chris Davis, who covers everything sports related in San Diego joined us at 6:15 to talk about local college baseball and softball. We also discussed the home opener of the Arena Football League's LA KISS, a newly formed expansion team, owned by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons from the legendary rock band KISS.
Our roving reporter Rick Hill joined us at 6:30 to talk further on local college baseball and the struggles of the Padres to wrap up our guest block.
The show wrapped up with a sweep of the scoreboards in MLB, NBA & NHL and a discussion on the growth of Soccer in San Diego and across the country.
