With the Ducks best defenseman out for three to five weeks with a sprained MCL, which is a tremendous loss especially since the playoffs are just around the corner. Defenseman Hamups Lindholm, and recently acquired Stephane Robidas will have to step up in place of Cam Fowler during his absence. With the loss yesterday against the San Jose Sharks the Ducks are now second in the Pacific divison which is uncommon place for the Ducks this season. The Ducks have to start winning or things are going to start looking really ugly for their Stanley Cup chances. The big question for the Ducks is next next three to five weeks will the Ducks be able to hold the fort without Cam Fowler present? The Ducks need to start playing with a little more sence of emergecy so they won't lose any more spots in the western confenerce playoff seeding. This was the absolute worst timing for a injury like this to a player like Cam Fowler for an extended period of time nearing the playoff hunt. It's going to be tough for the Ducks to stay afloat without Cam Fowler but if they can get into the playoffs on a winning streak they can get Fowler back around the confenerce finals.
