My first session with Kevin Lankford was on 12/14/15 from 2-4pm at VPS Media Center in Beltsville, MD.  We went over Assignment #1, which was about the history of radio.  Then we looked at an actual commercial script, which I found very helpful.  I learned tricks like using facial expressions to control my tone.  That was the first time I had ever read a script and I found it very entertaining.  I've had a very positive experience so far.  Everyone that I have encountered has made me feel welcome and comfortable.  Kevin ended this session by assigning me the next lesson on broadcasting terminology.
