Due to my grandfather's hospitalization and death, the Christmas and New Year's holidays and some scheduling problems, its been a month since my last session with Kevin Lankford.  This lesson was on 1/14/16 from 2-3 pm at VPS Media Center.  We went over the vocabulary homework assignment 2 from the previous session.  The main focus for this day was "finding my voice."  One of the exercises that we did was to have me stand in a corner and repeat "how now brown cow" up and down the scale to find my natural voice.  We discussed the differences between hard, easy and medium sells.  I read 2 commercials from assignment #4, which Kevin recorded.  Then he played them back for me and discussed radio shock.  Kevin explained how your voice never sounds like you think it does because you hear it from inside and outside. Kevin said that he would review my recordings to decide which delivery is best for me.  My assignment for next time is to record the commercials from assignment #4.  Since this session I have been looking at tv commercials differently and analyzing them.
