2016 National Championship Game Posted on 2017-01-11 by Andrew Zarycki

What an amazing game!! It was really an instant classic. The Clemson Tigers pulled off the upset (can we call it that?) over the powerful Alabama Crimson Tide, defeating them with a Touchdown with :01 left making the final score Clemson 35 Alabama 31. It was truly incredible. Clemson's offense in the 2nd half seemed unfased by the unrelenting defense of the Crimson Tide. There are many future first round draft picks on that defense too, lead by Rueben Foster and Jonathan Allen. But Clemson has some first rounders of their own in Deshaun Watson and Mike Williams on the offensive side of the ball. Alabamas Offense lead by true freshman Jalen Hurts could not move the ball the whole second half except for a fluke fake screen touchdown pass to OJ Howard and a Wide Receiver pass in the 4th quarter. Clemson's Linebacker Ben Boulware captained his defense to a vailiant effort and confused the Tide's offense all second half. I am sad that the College football season has come to an end but it couldn't have ended any better.
