It has been over a month since I have done a blog post! What a slacker...I know! The work for Lesson Ten was all about my favorite topic, News. I spend my free time reading articles and watching news. I can hear my six year old saying to me now "Oh man, not the news again!" . However, when it came time to write the Long Form News, to my complete horror, I sat down time after time over the last couple weeks and couldn't figure it out. I tried to manage any bit of a start, but only managed to feel overwhelmed! Writing has always been a pleasure to me, and news was a hobby. SO WHY WAS THIS SO HARD FOR ME?!? Tonight i sat down and discovered the most productive way for writing a news script. It took my a while, but now I've got it figured out and am very happy with the final script! Not only am I feeling wonderful after getting Lesson Ten complete, on November 20th, I was featured in the RRFC Weekly Newsletter under the Student Success page! I was contacted by Liya Swift via email where we set up a phone interview for that same week. Talking with Liya was such a treat! And to see the article was the most accomplished I've felt so far on this endeavour! It was such an awesome experience, I am still beaming. Tomorrow morning I will be back on the air after having Thanksgiving off. The show starts at 8am and I'll be hosting (not co-hosting...hosting!) the Radio Shopping Show until 10am only on KSHP AM1400!
