Tonight was the Fund Drive. I had a 30 mintue pre-recorded show that I finished and was broadcast on the air. It felt very weird hearing myself over the air for so long. Normally I hear myself on the air through my headphones, this was different to hear myself through the speakers playing over the air. After my show played, I was in the studio for the rest of the evening either answering phones or pitching content. I also read the station ID over the air and was live with Gary and Coco for the rest of the night, it was a rush. There's so much more pressure being live on the air than there is when pre-recording. In pre-record you can always edit, you can always think, well it's cool, it'll fix it later, not so with being live, you have to be ready, you have to have something to say, the pressure is intense but it's also intensely rewarding. It was a great night!
