4) Lesson #: 5
I turned in my show prep for both the talk show and for the music show. Since I've been working on the show called the 420 files, rather than making up my own show I used the show and built two shows. The first show was a show called "Music to Smoke Out To." It was a show that featured billboards top 20 songs to smoke weed to. After I planned the show Gary had me practice ad-libs using the show that I built. The music show was surprisingly easy to work on. Once the playlist was planned it was a matter of front selling and back selling songs with short ad-libs.
The talk show was slightly more difficult. Probably the hardest part was to stay away from politics and religion and sports. Those are areas that seem to permeate all areas of life so it was difficult to decide what to use. Especially in today's political climate it seems like even rain is political. However, once you factor in commercials and breaks the acutal amount of time spent talking is surprisingly small.
The promos for the show were pretty easy, the most challenging thing was probably how short a minute really is!
