My second Blog Post - Posted on 2017-08-22 by Andrew Davy

I'm not sure if I should even be writing in my blog quite yet, as I haven't finished my assignment. I recorded the script the lesson provided and included one of my previously recorded commercials. I have to say I'm pretty proud of the finished product. It really sounds like something I would hear on the radio, apart from all the news provided being fiction obviously. I even put in some light music in the back from the audio blocks website that Steve let me use. That plus the commercial, really makes it sound authentic. 

Steve has been nice enough to give me some extra time, since I took a vacation for my birthday. I'm meeting him on thursday and I get to be in the studio while him and Jonathan do the morning show. I even get to talk and sometimes he lets me read the live commercials. Its pretty crazy because thats really my dream. Being on the radio, doing spots, playing music, and talking. I never really have had something that I wanted to do so much happen to me so quickly. Honestly just being able to be on the show for a couple hours a week is a dream come true. If I could get paid to do that stuff, I'd be in heaven. I really want to learn all the in and outs that go with it. Steve says I'm much farther ahead than most people at this point. Its really great to hear someone with his level of experience say that.  Something about all of this just seems so familiar to me.

Now I just need to write and record my OWN news. I enjoy writing as much as I do recording. I've only written those 5 commercials and Steve had me write some news last time I saw him, but those commericals were so much fun. Just being able to be creative with the writing and recording is really great. Making up businesses or products lets me explore a creative side of me I havent tapped into in a long, long time. Steve has a good sense of humor too. Its awesome when I can play something I worked on and here him laugh at it. 

Well thats another blog entry for the books.
